3 weeks agoOrdered a chicken cheesecake, came on a hotdog bun, got fries with it, they were cold, asked for a side of blue cheese, didnt get it, $12.99 ridiculous. Ask for coffee, the waitress said I could have what was left because she wasn't making a new pot. Ordered a piece of mixed berry pie, tasted like flour, not just the crust but the berries also, couldn't eat it. The service was pitiful. The very worst part of the experience was a elderly man and woman came in with 5 people who were in town visiting. The ederly man asked about sitting in the dinning area because there were 7 of them the waitresses words "I have the back blocked off because we close in a half hour so you guys will just have to split up." Wow, does she forget customers pay her pay checks. I was absolutely shocked that she would talk to customers that way. The waitress was not friendly, did not smile, probably should find a line of work outside customer service. had her hair in a ponytail, but it still hung over food when she served it. My grandson got a fishsandwich that was not eatable, although his fries were warm. The cheese sticks were the only part of the meal that I am not negative about. I won't be back. I couldn't believe it when they brought my chicken cheese steak out on a hotdog bun.

3 weeks agoBeen going there since the 1900's at least 45 years and never disappointed. Friendly service . Good prices and if you like home baked pies and cookies they have them. The cookies are huge!

a month agoTraditional Diner with nostalgic decor. Great food. Vegetable Beef soup was fantastic. Salads and entrees look good.

a month agoCute little diner, perfect place to stop if visiting the PA Grand Canyon. Good food and good coffee, excellent hashbrowns. I came in right before closing time and they were swamped, yet my coffee stayed full and I had no problem getting a seat at the bar. The dining car area was quite hot, so if you need a cooler place go downstairs into the other dining area.

a month agoMy friend and I decided to stop by for lunch at the Wellsboro Diner before heading to her hair appointment. I had only been there once when I was really little, and trying out new or unfamiliar places is something that always makes me nervous. Right when we walked in, we were greeted with a hello, and told to sit wherever we wanted. The area inside had a classic and timeless diner look, and smelled just how you would expect. They offer good food and dessert options, and everything is very tasty. The biggest thing that stood out to me was our waitress, Tina, who made our experience amazing. She was the sweetest person and provided us excellent service. She not only made sure to check in on us, but was conversing with us and always had a smile on her face. Even while overhearing her talking to her coworkers and other customers, she had such respect and kindness. When she saw us taking pictures of each other, she offered to take a picture of both of us together. She also offered us things like boxes at the perfect time. Tina was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend this place! 10/10

4 months agoMy husband and I went there today. First time in a couple of years. Boy has this place drastically gone down hill. Walked in the person at the grill yelled “seat yourself”. So we did. Not even 2 minutes later a waitress was right there wanting to know if we were ready to order. We hadn’t even looked at a menu yet. Once ordered. I got the sausage gravy over biscuits and home fries. Every bite was thinned gravy with “bursts” of flour bits. My husband got the “Cheese Steak”. Now this cheese steak that he ordered came out on a hotdog roll with hardly anything on it. Not a normal diners “Cheese steak” as someone would imagine. Along with this was probably just a handful 12-15 fries with a side of gravy. Once again gravy full of flour chunks. We paid $37 for this mess. Will never recommend or return to this diner.

5 months agoI've lived in the area my whole life and this was my first visit to the diner. I wanted to love it and be charmed but I wasn't. It was a bit embarrassing to take my guest there in anticipation of a cool experience. We walked in and the person running the fryer turns around to snap "seat yourself!" Our waitress was super rude - no greetings or casual chat. Not even "hello" or "how are you?" She greeted us by letting us know what they were out of and couldn't make. Got our food and it was mediocre. Another family (from out of town but with children) came in and were treated horribly. English as a second language for the other guests and they were treated so poorly by our waitress when they misunderstood her. Then we witnessed the waitress yell "DOWNSTAIRS IS CLOSED!!" when someone tried to go down there to sit. Wild lack of hospitality skills. Niceness could have gone super far to make up for the basic food and sticky tables. I'll never go back and I'm so sad about it ! The diner was decorated so adorably and visually very charming.

7 months agoI had breakfast there with my girlfriends after touring the PA Grand Canyon and Thrifting in town. The egg sandwich was good. The eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns-excellent. The food is pretty basic. The service was more like Flo from Mel’s Diner, I would not have been the least bit surprised if the waitress had yelled “kiss my grits” after she threw our silverware down on the table. Do not drink the coffee.
